For the purpose of site selection Buck Consultants International has developed a unique method to compare candidate locations, the so-called const-quality matrix. First of all this matrix shows for all locations the costs for setting up and running the new operation in the next 5 years (e.g. labour costs, logistics costs, real estate costs, taxes). Secondly, the matrix highlights for the locations under review all qualitative aspects of the business environment at the candidate locations/sites such as availability of qualified people, available technological expertise, labour regulations, logistics qualities of the location.
