Roadmap for a Future Proof Value Chain; the Ten Golden Initiatives for Developing and Implementing a Future Proof Value Chain

June 2025: Nearly all companies have taken short term measures to cope with US import tariffs; the main challenge now is to develop a resilient and future proof value chain. The 90-days reciprocal tariff pause ends at July 8th and will probably urge you to accelerate strategic initiatives to develop and implement a robust global manufacturing footprint and distribution network.

BCI Global interviewed a large number of  leaders of US and European companies at C/VP level on how their roadmap looks like. Here already some results:

  • The number of European companies focusing on accelerating the US market grows with 60%, while US companies will more than double their effort to accelerate the development of their home market; at the same time European and Asian companies diversify their global portfolio by focusing more on non-US markets.
  • 35% of the US-based companies will set-up new greenfield plants in the US; 10% of the European companies will do the same.
  • Increasing end to end visibility on short notice is a top priority for 40%, giving also opportunities to further re-routing of flows and to accelerating multiple country sourcing.
  • Learn about the Ten Golden Initiatives for Value Chain Resilience recommended by experienced industry leaders.
